I’m Lauren. I write and lead wedding and civil union ceremonies across Queenstown and the wider Otago and Southland region.
No templates. No generic scripts. Just a ceremony built around you.
Some couples want to laugh and cry in equal measure. Some want something quiet and intimate. Most want both. Whatever that looks like for you, we'll figure it out together.
My day job is in sustainability and that's taught me about not doing things by default. Of asking whether something is genuinely serving its purpose, or just filling space.
I bring the same thinking to ceremonies. A wedding should contain nothing that's there out of obligation, habit or because it's "just what you do." Every word, every moment, every choice should mean something.
That's what I'm here to help you build - something with no filler.
I'm licensed to marry you anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand and I'm open to a conversation about wherever you're headed to get married. I'm most at home in Queenstown, Central Otago, and I'd love to help you get married here, whether that's on a mountaintop, beside a river or somewhere only you two would think to choose.

How it works
We meet over coffee, a video call or a walk. I ask a lot of questions and do a lot of listening to learn about you.
I write a ceremony that sounds like you. You'll see a draft and we'll refine it until it's right.
We celebrate! I'll be there early, calm and ready. Your only job on the day is to show up and mean it.
There might be lots of other wedding things on your mind - not just the ceremony. Where do I find flowers? What about the venue or location? How do I find the right photographer? After a long career in the events industry, I am happy to support you with all the other bits and pieces that will help make your day special if you need guidance.
If you’re looking for the full adventure wedding experience - planning, photography and all - my sister and I run Union, a sustainability-grounded adventure wedding company based in Queenstown.
Ceremonies start from $500, which includes everything that matters most - getting to know you, developing your ceremony from scratch, revisions until it's right, and travel within the Queenstown Lakes district.
